About the apartment

General
I chose this place because it has a closed kitchen which is super rare for one-bedroom condos in Bangkok and I hate it when my bedroom smells like Pad Thai after cooking. The layout is actually very smart and makes the 35 square meters feel much bigger than it is. However the built-in furniture is starting to show its age with peeling laminate on the cabinets and the sofa looks like it has survived a war.
Security
Standard keycard access for the lobby and elevators but sometimes the back door is left propped open which is a bit concerning
Neighbors
My neighbors are Chinese tourists who change every few days and sometimes they drag their suitcases loudly at 4 AM which drives me crazy
Noise
We are right next to the main Rama 9 intersection and the highway so the roar of traffic never stops even on Sunday nights
Renovation
The wallpaper is peeling off in the corners due to humidity and the bathroom grouting needs a serious deep clean
Furniture
The bed frame is sturdy but the mattress was rock hard so I had to buy a memory foam topper to be able to sleep
View
I have a city view facing the G Tower which looks cool at night with all the neon lights but during the day it is just concrete and smog

About the building

General
The building is a bit older than the fancy new ones next door like Life Asoke but it feels less crowded and more like a home. The pool is decent but it is on a lower floor so it gets no sun in the afternoon and the water is freezing cold. The gym is tiny and the equipment is old so I ended up joining a fitness club in the mall instead.
Cleanliness
The common areas are kept clean but the garbage room on my floor sometimes smells really bad by the end of the day
Security
Guards are always at the gate and they are helpful with hailing taxis but they don't really check who walks in with residents
Yard
There is a surprisingly nice green garden on the ground floor which is great for a quick walk if you don't want to go out on the street
Parking
The parking ramp is extremely narrow and spiraling so you have to be a professional driver not to scratch your car
Demographics
Mostly young office workers and expats working in the nearby towers so everyone is busy and keeps to themselves
Building Quality
The walls are quite thin and I can sometimes hear the elevator dinging if the hallway is quiet

About the district

General
This is literally the new CBD of Bangkok and living here means you have Central Rama 9 mall and the Jodd Fairs night market right at your doorstep. You never go hungry here because there is street food everywhere and fancy restaurants in the malls. The vibe is chaotic and energetic which I love but it is definitely not for people seeking peace and quiet.
Cleanliness
The sidewalks are uneven and often blocked by motorbike taxis or food stalls so walking can be a dirty obstacle course
Security
It is one of the busiest areas in the city so there are always people around and plenty of light at night
Beauty
It is a concrete jungle with skyscrapers but the modern architecture of the office towers looks pretty impressive
Transport Accessibility
MRT Rama 9 is a five minute walk away and it connects you to Sukhumvit or Silom in just a few stops
Traffic Jams
The traffic here is legendary for being the worst in Bangkok and getting a Grab during rush hour is simply impossible
Parking
Finding parking for guests is a nightmare because you cannot park on the main road without getting a ticket
