If you are looking for open-concept lofts, this isn't it. This is 'beige luxury' from the 2000s, but the quality is undeniable. The apartments are MASSIVE. I mean, 250+ square meters. We have a maid’s room, a laundry room, and a kitchen where you can actually cook for a party of 10. The AC: Centralized and powerful. Essential for Lisbon summers. The Vibe: It feels very solid. Stone floors, heavy wood. It’s not 'trendy', it’s classic.
Security
Best in the city. We have the US Embassy next door, so the whole area is secure.
Neighbors
Diplomats, CEOs, football players. Very private. Everyone smiles but keeps their distance.
Noise
An oasis of silence.
Renovation
High quality, but the design feels a bit dated (lots of cream and brown marble).
View
Views of the internal gardens are nice. Views of the street are boring (office buildings).
About the building
General
This is why you pay the high rent: The Compound Life. It is a gated community with a 24/7 guard at the gate. No delivery guy gets in without a call. We have heated outdoor pools (rare in Lisbon!), a gym, and manicured gardens. It feels like living in a resort in Algarve, but you are 10 minutes from the city center. The maintenance is flawless. If a lightbulb burns out in the hallway, it’s fixed in an hour.
Yard
Stunning private gardens with fountains. Safe for kids to run free.
Demographics
Very high net worth individuals.
About the district
Cleanliness
The immediate area is very clean.
Beauty
It’s clean and modern, but lacks historical charm.
Transport Accessibility
The metro station (Praça de Espanha) is nearby, and the bus terminal is at Sete Rios.
Noise
Outside the complex, traffic noise is high. Inside, it's quiet.
Parks
Gulbenkian Garden is a 10-min walk (beautiful!).
Restaurants
Not many options within walking distance. Need to drive.
