About the apartment

General
They simply don’t build them like this anymore. The unit is massive (2-bedrooms are 100+ sqm). It has real parquet wooden floors and a huge separate kitchen, not just a corner in the living room. It feels like a proper home, not a rental unit.
Renovation
It has a charming "vintage" feel. The furniture is heavy teak wood, very solid. However, the lighting can be a bit dim, and the bathrooms, while clean, look like they are from the 90s (old tiles).
Insects
Being a low-rise building surrounded by big trees, you do get mosquitoes and occasional ants. It’s the price you pay for living in a "garden" atmosphere.

About the building

General
It is a low-rise building, very private and quiet. You know your neighbors. The staff have been working here for years and treat you like family, always smiling and helpful with repairs.
Security
It feels very secure. It’s tucked away in a sub-soi (side street), so there is no random foot traffic, only residents.
Yard
The swimming pool is small but very cozy and shaded by trees. It’s not for doing Olympic laps, but perfect for chilling with a book on a Sunday afternoon.
Utilities Stability
Since this is an "Apartment" (single owner), not a "Condo", you pay the building rate for electricity (usually 7-8 THB per unit), not the government rate. The bill at the end of the month can be shocking if you run the AC all day.

About the district

General
Ari is hands down the coolest neighborhood in Bangkok. It is the hipster capital. You are surrounded by specialty coffee shops, art galleries, and craft beer bars. It feels much more laid back than Sukhumvit.
Beauty
This is one of the few areas in Bangkok with big trees lining the streets. It’s green, walkable, and aesthetically pleasing. "Gump’s Ari" (a photo spot community mall) is nearby for vibrant photos.
Transport Accessibility
The building is a bit deep into Soi 5. Walking to BTS Ari takes about 10–15 minutes. It’s a pleasant walk because the sidewalks are decent, but in the midday heat, you will want to grab a motorbike taxi.
