I've been living here for ten years now. The apartment is large and bright, and my grandchildren love to visit. The layout is convenient, the kitchen is spacious, but the renovations are a bit tired; the wallpaper could use a refresh.
Security
I have a secure iron door, and we even lock the vestibule between the two apartments. My neighbor is a true gem; she always keeps an eye on me when I go to the dacha.
Neighbors
There are few old residents left; many apartments are rented out by the day or to students, and they're often noisy. People rarely say hello in the elevator; the young people are always on their phones, never even looking up.
Noise
The soundproofing is average, but if kids are running upstairs, my chandelier will jingle. There's some street noise, especially from motorcyclists who don't let me sleep on Rozybakieva Street in the summer, driving like crazy.
Renovation
The renovation was done a long time ago, but it was done conscientiously; the bathroom tiles still look new. The windows, which were installed by the developer, had to be adjusted because the whistling noise in the winter was so loud that the curtains would flap.
Furniture
My furniture is old and well-made, including the sofas we bought when we moved. There's plenty of space, the wardrobes hold everything, even the pickle jars.
View
The view from the window is my escape; the entire city is spread out before my eyes, and the mountains are perfectly visible. In the evening, when the lights come on, I sit in the kitchen with tea and admire the indescribable beauty.
About the building
General
The building is nice and sturdy, but the wind here is so terrifying, they call us "Wind Rose." You walk out of the building and your hair gets blown off instantly, the draft between the towers is brutal.
Security
The concierge sits downstairs and tries to keep strangers out, but the couriers are always swarming. There are cameras, but I'm not sure they're all working; I hope I won't have to check.
Yard
There's no yard as such, just a concrete jungle and a parking lot, with very little greenery. There's a playground, but it's constantly windy and noisy from the Mega hoods, making it unpleasant to walk there.
About the district
General
The area is fantastic, everything is close by. I don't drive, so it's important for me to be able to walk everywhere. Rozybakieva Street is a busy street, buzzing with activity 24/7.
Cleanliness
The area around Mega is always clean and tidy; street cleaners sweep from morning until night, and the lawns are mowed. It's a pleasant walk to the store; the sidewalks are smooth, and there's almost no ice in the winter.
Security
The police patrol constantly, the area is lit up like daylight, so it's safe to walk around. There's plenty of security from the shopping center, so hooligans and drunks are quickly dispersed.
Beauty
The architecture is modern, glass and concrete, pleasing to the eye, but lacking in soul. There's a lack of greenery; the trees along the road are stunted by the pollutants; more parks would be welcome.
Transport Accessibility
The bus stop is right outside my house, and buses go anywhere in the city. I can go to the market without any problems. The trolleybus runs frequently, and it's free for pensioners. It's very convenient.
Demographics
The people are generally decent, well-dressed, and there are lots of young people enjoying coffee. Security guards chase away homeless people and beggars, so the crowd is quite prosperous.
Restaurants
There are hundreds of cafes in Mega, so you can eat somewhere new every day, but it's a bit pricey. I rarely go there, only if my kids invite me to a birthday party or a celebration.
