I picked Belville because the walls here are actually made of brick and concrete unlike the new fancy buildings nearby which feel like cardboard. The apartment is warm and dry which is rare for Belgrade but the interior design is definitely stuck in 2009 with beige tiles and yellow wood everywhere. The layout is super practical with a glazed loggia where I set up my workspace and it stays warm even in winter without extra heating.
Security
Every building has a security guard at the desk 24/7 who knows the residents by face so it feels safer than a bank vault
Neighbors
It is a huge mix of people from young families to retirees and Russian expats so nobody really bothers you but the elevators are always busy
Noise
The sound insulation is solid so I rarely hear my neighbors but if your windows face the internal road you will hear delivery trucks early in the morning
Renovation
The materials are durable but old fashioned and the bathtub looked a bit worn out so I had to reseal it myself when I moved in
Furniture
Most apartments here come with the original furniture from ten years ago which is sturdy but ugly and uncomfortable for long term living
View
I look out onto the parking lot and another grey building so there is nothing inspiring to see but at least it is not a wall
About the building
General
The maintenance here is legendary because everything is fixed before it even breaks and the common areas are scrubbed clean daily. It feels a bit institutional like a very nice dormitory or a hotel because all the buildings look exactly the same and it is easy to get lost at first. The elevators are spacious and fast which is critical when you live on the tenth floor and have heavy groceries.
Cleanliness
You could eat off the floor in the lobby because the cleaning ladies are working constantly and take their job very seriously
Security
Besides the guards there are cameras on every corner and chip access is needed for everything so theft is unheard of here
Yard
There are playgrounds and manicured lawns between the buildings but they are strictly for looking at or kids playing so no grilling or chilling on the grass
Parking
This is the best complex for parking in the city because there is a huge outdoor parking lot for residents plus underground garages
About the district
General
Living next to Delta City mall is dangerous for your wallet because you are just steps away from shops and cinema and food court. The running track around the complex is a nice touch and lots of people use it in the evenings for jogging or walking dogs. The air is fresher here than in the center because of the wide open spaces and wind from the river.
Cleanliness
The management company keeps the sidewalks and roads within the complex pristine and snow is cleared immediately in winter
Beauty
It is functional and neat but very repetitive and grey so architectural beauty is not the strong point here
