Living here feels like being in a magazine. The decor is minimal and warm, plants are everywhere. Having a weekly cleaning service included is a lifesaver, I don't have to argue with flatmates about whose turn it is to scrub the toilet.
Neighbors
The vetting process works perfectly. My flatmates are all working professionals (mostly tech and marketing), very respectful. We often cook dinners together or grab wine on the balcony.
Renovation
The kitchen is fully stocked with high-end appliances: a Smeg toaster, a Nespresso machine, and a huge dishwasher. It’s actually equipped for cooking real meals, not just heating up pizza.
View
They preserved the original Catalan hydraulic tiles (gorgeous floors!) but modernized everything else. The windows are double-glazed, so the insulation is great.
About the building
General
It is a classic modernist building with high ceilings and a grand entrance door. It feels prestigious. The only downside is the elevator — it’s an antique wooden one, very tiny and slow.
Security
The main door is heavy and secure, plus we have a video intercom. I’ve never felt unsafe entering or leaving the building, even late at night.
Demographics
The building has a mix of coliving apartments and local Catalan families who have lived here forever. You have to be mindful of noise in the stairwell
About the district
General
Consell de Cent has recently become a "Green Axis" (Superilla), meaning it's basically pedestrian-only now. It’s incredibly quiet for the city center and full of trendy brunch spots and specialty coffee shops.
Beauty
The architecture is world-class. You are walking distance from Passeig de Gràcia. It is arguably the most beautiful and walkable street in Barcelona right now.
Parking
Forget about having a car here. Since they removed the car lanes to plant trees and put benches, you literally cannot park on the street.
