Our apartment is small but cozy, and the layout is perfectly livable. We bought it while it was still under construction, and after a year of living there, the developer hasn't encountered any major flaws with the finishing work.
Neighbors
There are tons of people living here, and a lot of apartments are rented out by the day. This leads to a constant turnover of people, and it can sometimes get a bit noisy at night from random groups of people.
Noise
Of course, the sound quality here is like in a dorm, because the walls between apartments are thin. You can hear absolutely everything, from your neighbors' conversations to their phones vibrating on the nightstand.
View
We live high up and have a truly stunning view of the city, especially when all the lights on the left bank come on. This is one of the main advantages of our apartment, and it was worth the extra cost.
About the building
General
The complex itself is truly a city in itself, with everything from hairdressers to dry cleaners. It looks grand, but the sheer number of residents can sometimes feel like an anthill.
Cleanliness
The cleaners try their best, but with such a frantic flow of people, the entryways quickly become dirty. Litter left behind by workers or passersby is common on the stairways and in the elevators.
Security
The courtyard is supposedly closed, but almost anyone can enter if they wait a few minutes at the gate. There are cameras, but they're of little use when several thousand people live in the building at once.
Yard
The playgrounds are modern and plentiful, providing ample space for all children to play. However, due to the dense development, the courtyard is constantly buffeted by strong winds, making leisurely walks difficult.
Parking
Parking here is a complete disaster, and finding a spot on the street in the evening is simply impossible. Cars are parked three deep, sometimes blocking the driveways so much that it's impossible to get out in the morning.
Utilities Stability
The main problem is the elevators, which are constantly breaking down or require ten-minute waits. There's always water and electricity, but the water pressure on the upper floors sometimes drops during peak hours.
About the district
General
The area is extremely convenient in terms of infrastructure, as you're right in the center of the left bank. Life here is vibrant 24/7, and all the most interesting things happen right outside your window.
Cleanliness
The streets around the complex are cleaned regularly, and trash bins are collected on time, despite the heavy traffic. However, the large number of people on the sidewalks makes them crowded and noisy.
Beauty
The surrounding area is lined with modern high-rises and beautiful avenues that look very much like a metropolitan city. Strolling along Syganak is pleasant, especially on calm evenings when there's no strong wind.
Transport Accessibility
There are plenty of buses here, and you can reach any part of the city without transfers in a short time. For those temporarily without a car, this is probably the most convenient location in all of Astana.
Traffic Jams
Syganak Street is one big traffic jam almost all day long, and you can get stuck there forever. If you need to drive somewhere downtown, it's best to leave well in advance.
Restaurants
There's food on every corner and for every budget, from fast döner joints to posh restaurants. Food delivery arrives in minutes thanks to the proximity of all establishments.
