About the apartment

General
You are paying 100% for the location, not the quality of the room. It feels a bit like a summer camp cabin—basic and slightly worn out. However, waking up to the sea breeze makes it worth it for me.
Furniture
The furniture is functional but very used. The desk has scratches and the wardrobe doors are a bit squeaky. It’s fine for a few months, but don't expect modern design.
View
The view is absolutely insane. If you get a room on the higher floors facing the ocean, it feels like a 5-star hotel view. It makes the small room feel much bigger and airier.

About the building

General
The vibe is very social and laid-back, almost lazy. The building itself feels a bit "tired"—you can see rust on outdoor metal parts from the sea air. The gym is very basic, barely enough for a quick workout.
Cleanliness
The common areas are cleaned regularly, but sand gets absolutely everywhere. People bring it in from the beach on their shoes and towels, so the floors in the hallways are often gritty.
Utilities Stability
Sometimes the water pressure drops when everyone is showering after the beach. The internet is generally okay, but can lag during storms or bad weather.

About the district

General
Living in Barceloneta is a dream in winter when it's quiet, but absolute chaos in summer. It gets overwhelmingly crowded with tourists, day drinkers, and beachgoers from May to September.
Security
You have to be super alert. The beach area is the number one spot for pickpockets in the city. It’s generally safe from violent crime, but never leave your stuff unattended outside.
Beauty
Despite the crowds, the location is beautiful. You have the palm trees, the promenade for skating, and the ocean right there. Sunset walks are the best part of living here.
