We got a two-room apartment here with a mortgage; it's a great option for a young family to start out with. The layout is clever, every square meter is utilized, but the rooms themselves are objectively small, so you can't really stretch out.
Security
I have smart locks; I can open the door with my fingerprint when my hands are full of bags and the baby—it's a lifesaver. We didn't have to replace the doors from the builder; they were high-quality and heavy-duty from the start.
Noise
The soundproofing is average; if the neighbor's baby cries at night, we can hear it quite clearly. Fortunately, no one throws discos; everyone understands that children's routines are sacred.
View
The windows overlook the courtyard, with a view of the playground, making it convenient for keeping an eye on the child in the future. The mountains are hidden by the neighboring blocks, but that wasn't a big deal for us.
About the building
General
The building looks bright and modern, the hallways are beautiful, and it's a pleasure to enter with a stroller; there are no silly 45-degree ramps. But the density of people is colossal; sometimes you feel like you're in an anthill.
Cleanliness
The entrance halls are cleaned several times a day, and the floors are always clean, even in rainy weather. Pleasant air fresheners are installed on the floors, and there's absolutely no smell of garbage.
Security
The yard is gated, cars are off-limits, and the child can run around freely. However, the magnetic locks on the gates occasionally break, allowing teenagers from neighboring neighborhoods to sneak in.
Yard
The courtyard is a fairytale, with cool playgrounds with tartan surfaces, sandboxes, and swings. In the evenings, half the residential complex gathers here, children running around, and mothers chatting on the benches.
Parking
Parking is a disaster; there are so many cars, and there's a catastrophic shortage of spaces around the complex. My husband gets home from work late and often leaves the car about two blocks away.
About the district
General
The area is being actively developed, and there are prospects, but for now we live as if on an island, cut off from the city center. Getting out of here into the city is a test of nerves.
Cleanliness
The interior of our residential complex and the neighboring new buildings is very clean; the lawns are watered and the sidewalks are swept. But as soon as you step onto Raimbek Avenue, you'll see a cloud of dust and constant mud from the cars.
Beauty
There's little beauty here yet; construction sites, vacant lots, and the old houses of Kalkaman are all around. There's a severe lack of greenery; the trees that have been planted are still very small and offer little shade.
Transport Accessibility
The bus stops are nearby, and there are plenty of buses, but they're always overcrowded, making it pointless to even try to fit a stroller on them. We're really looking forward to the metro station being built nearby.
Traffic Jams
This is our worst nightmare: Raimbek Avenue (Tashkentskaya) is at a standstill every morning and every evening. It takes over an hour to get to the center, and my husband always arrives on edge.
